Q. I was injured in a car accident in New Hampshire. The hit and run driver got away. Can I file a lawsuit against my own auto insurance company?

A.  Sometimes, yes. The best thing to do is bring a copy of your policy to an experienced injury lawyer to interpret your coverage immediately. Be cautious, you may also have deadlines requiring you to provide notice to the insurance company and/or law enforcement of the accident. Failure to do so could bar your claim.
